Can't see your live stats on your watch

If you can't see the Hoolan recording screen, with your live statistics, on your watch as you're recording, then it is most likely to do with Apple Watch's wrist detection security settings.

Issue:

If your watch gets knocked and loses contact with your skin, or if you wear your watch over a wetsuit, Apple detects that it is no longer being worn and, as a security feature, the watch locks itself and reverts to the main watch face. Hoolan still keeps recording in the background.

Solution:

To stop this from happening, you are able to turn off wrist detection:

On your watch, go to Settings >  Passcode > Wrist detection.

There are some caveats to doing this. With it set to off, you won't be able to track your sleep, crash detection (not related to your sessions) won't work and you will also need to type in your passcode to pay using your watch.

You can turn 'Wrist Detection' on/off whenever you wish.

Alternatively, you could try tightening your watch strap and making sure the watch has a good connection with your skin at all times.

If the information above doesn't resolve the issue for you, then please email contact@hoolan.app and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
