Garmin Connect can be connected to apps such as Strava and other compatible services. Once your accounts are connected, new activities uploaded to Garmin Connect can automatically sync to the connected app.
For example, to connect Garmin Connect to Strava:
-
Open the Strava app or website.
-
Go to Settings > Connect an App / Link Other Services.
-
Select Garmin Connect.
-
Sign in to your Garmin account and allow the requested permissions.
-
Your future Hoolan sessions uploaded to Garmin Connect will then automatically appear in Strava.
DOWNLOAD A GPX OR FIT FILE
You can download an individual Hoolan session from Garmin Connect as a GPX or FIT file and manually upload it to another compatible app or website.
-
Open Garmin Connect in a web browser on your computer and sign in.
-
Go to Activities > All Activities.
-
Select the Hoolan session you want to download.
-
Click the Settings (gear) icon in the top-right corner of the activity page.
-
Choose the file format you want to download:
For GPX: Select Export to GPX. The GPX file will download to your computer.
For FIT: Select Export Original (or Export File, if that is the label displayed). If the file downloads as a ZIP archive, extract it to access the original .fit file. -
Upload the downloaded GPX or FIT file to another app or website that supports that format.

GPX is suitable for transferring GPS tracks. FIT is the widely accepted choice if you want to participate in external leaderboards as it can't be easily tampered with, plus it includes more information, such as watch model.
