In this release we're stoked to be introducing the following:

Real time max speed:
You can now see your max speed on the watch screen as you ride. Max speed, as a default, now replaces heart rate on the watch screen, however you can fully customise your watch screen to display the stats you'd like visible - see here for full information.

Fenix 8 jump detection:
F8 users can now track their jumps as well as their GPS data.
If you already have our app installed on your Fenix 8, you need to rerun the compatibility check to activate jump detection.
Go to the Hoolan app on your Garmin > Settings > Compatibility. Re-run the check and you will get a confirmation that your watch is now 'fully compatible'.
Alternatively, you can delete and reinstall the Hoolan app.
If you are downloading the app for the first time, then jump and GPS detection will be activated.

Instinct 3 AMOLED version - GPS and jumps
Instinct 3 SOLAR version - GPS (junps under investigation)
Instinct E - GPS only
Approach S50 - GPS only

Remove from recents:
As your list of recent session types grows on your watch, there may be some that you don't use - you can now remove them from the recents.
Select the recent session type you'd like to remove > press and hold the menu to get to 'Settings' > Select 'Remove from recents'.

We noticed a few crashes occurring, particularly for the Venu series of watches - these issues have been fixed.

Wing Skating
If you're kite snowboarding or kite skiing, your jumps will be tracked by default.
If you'd like to track jumps with any of the other winter activities, then you can turn jump detection to 'ON' in your settings. Full details on how to do this here: Garmin - jump detection settings​​

We're super stoked to be releasing the first version of our Garmin App to work with our iPhone and Android phone apps. It's packed full of features is completely free!
We've worked incredibly hard to get the first version of our Garmin app off the ground, and we've had to overcome some extreme challenges along the way. We'd like to give a massive shout out to everyone who has tested, left feedback and been a source of inspiration during this journey. We couldn't have done it without you!
As we don't own every Garmin watch model that our app supports, we've only managed to test some models using a simulator. Therefore, if you spot an issue please get in touch.
